Adrian Gaskin - Supanews Managing Director/Founder
Adrian Gaskin is the founder and Managing Director of Supanews. Adrian has over 35 years experience in newsagency retail. Adrian started Supanews in 1994. Adrian's passion and entrepreneurial drive have helped him grow the business from a single store into an industry leading retail chain with over 50 stores and more to come.
James Webber - Supanews Director/Group Manager, Corporate Services - RedGroup Retail
James Webber is responsible for managing acquisitions and new projects and is also the Managing Director of Calendar Club Australia and New Zealand and a Director of Supanews Retail Pty Ltd, the joint venture between RedGroup Retail and the Supanews Pty Ltd in Australia.
He transferred from his position as European Development Manager for WH Smith Europe Travel Retail in 1999 to setup the first WH Smith store in Australia, at Sydney International Airport. Prior to working with WH Smith, he spent 9 years with Shell International managing retail service station networks in Argentina, Egypt, the UK and Ireland. James has a BSc (honours) degree in Animal Production Science from Edinburgh University, an MBA from Manchester Business School and a distinction in International Business Strategy from the Stockholm School of Economics.
Patrick Gaskin - Supanews Director/Business Development Manager, RedGroup Retail
Patrick Gaskin started working for Supanews from a young age as part of the family business. Patrick has over ten years experience in newsagency retail and has worked in all levels of the business. For the past five years Patrick has been General Operations Manager, where he is responsible for operations, marketing and new store openings. He is a business graduate from the Queensland University of Technology.
Tony Ristevski - Supanews Director/Chief Financial Officer RedGroup Retail
Tony Ristevski was appointed Chief Financial Officer in October 2008. Prior to joining the group, Tony held various senior finance roles with Computershare Limited based across Australia, the US and the UK from 2000. Tony’s most recent role was CFO – Asia Pacific Region and Global Technology Group. During his time, Tony had undertaken numerous restructure and post acquisition integration roles both in Australia and globally. He was also the financial lead on many acquisitions, including their first public company takeover in Australia and establishing joint ventures in India and Japan.
Previous to Computershare, Tony was with Pacific Dunlop Limited having worked in Pacific Brands Group and Group Head Office. His roles focussed on financial systems and group reporting. Tony started his career in professional practise with Clarke & Company and later Coopers & Lybrand where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Tony has a bachelor of Commerce (Honours) and a MBA from Melbourne Business School.
John Watt - Supanews Group Manager, Network Development
John is responsible for the development and growth of both the existing franchise network and the recruitment and selection of all new franchisees into the Supanews family. He has over 15 years experience in Retail Operations in both Australia and the UK for both corporate and franchise outlets.
His previous roles included senior management positions within two franchise groups; Jumping J-Jays and Howards Storage World, in which both companies expanded their franchisee operations overseas. He performed both franchise recruitment and franchises operational roles within these companies. In the UK he worked in various business and development roles for a 1000 chain convenience retail outlet.
