Franchising

Next Step

So, you have thoroughly reviewed this website and you are interested in the Supanews franchise!

Where do you go from here?

Step 1 – Evaluation
You will need to send us a Submission of Interest.  Upon receiving this we will send you one of our online information request packs.  This will be password protected so that you will have your own unique form.  Once you have completed the online information pack it will be sent to us to review.

Step 2 – Telephone Interview
On receipt of your completed information pack we will assess your suitability as a Supanews franchisee.  If you pass this criteria we will then contact you by telephone to complete the first stage in the Franchise Recruitment process - the Telephone Interview.  This telephone screening process will assist the Franchise Recruitment department to assess your suitability as a Supanews franchisee.  It will also be an opportunity for you to find out more about our system.

Step 3 - First Interview
Following successful completion of the telephone interview you will be invited to attend the first face-to-face interview. It is vital that all parties that will be part of the proposed franchise operation attend this interview.  During this interview, you will receive an informal, yet comprehensive introduction into Supanews and a detailed overview of your particular store of interest.  The first interview is an opportunity for both parties to meet and further assess opinions as to the overall suitability of the application. We will at this stage ask you to sign a confidentiality agreement.

Step 4 – Time In Store / Contacting Existing Franchisees
If the first interview is successful you will be invited to spend at least one weekend and two weekdays in a store to ensure that this is what they really want to do.  You will see first hand what franchisees are required to do.  You will also be given the contact details of existing franchisees to talk to so that you can get their feedback on the business. Talking to existing franchisees should be part of your due diligence and research into the Supanews business.

Step 5 – Online Profiling Questionnaire
If after your practical time in store you still feel Supanews meets your requirements and we feel you meet our requirements you will then be sent an online invitation to complete a franchising profiling questionnaire.  This will assist us in assessing if you are the right fit for the system in terms of your attitude, personality and finances.

Step 6 – Information Memorandum
After passing the online profiling assessment we will invite you to meet with us again. At this meeting you will be given an information memorandum on the site that interests you. It will contain an overview of the KPI’s of the store, the last financial years profit & loss, lease details and an indicative roster for the store. This will allow you to access the business with your accountant or business advisors and put together a business plan.

Step 7 – Application
Once you have reviewed the information memorandum and decided that you wish to proceed further with your interest in our system,  you will then be asked to complete an application form.  This Application Form will need to be completed in full and by all parties who are applying for the franchise opportunity.
Once completed, this form will need to be sent to the Supanews Head Office.  Once the application is received it will then go to the Supanews Board for approval.

At this stage you should start to get pre-approval for your finances.

Stage 8 – Head Office Day – Final Interview
If your application is approved you will be invited to spend a day at the Brisbane Head Office to meet with the senior management and support teams and be taken to visit some company operated stores to give you a good grounding in our business.  This will be a perfect opportunity to have any questions that have arisen from or since the first meeting answered.

Stage 9 – Franchisee Kit
At the end of this day, if all parties are satisfied that this is the right step, we will issue you with a full franchise kit (which will include a disclosure document, franchise agreement and code of conduct). You will be asked to sign a receipt of disclosure documentation form once they have been provided to you.

Step 10 - Signing Franchise Agreement
After receiving your franchise kit, you should have these documents reviewed by your solicitor and accountant.  Once all queries have been answered by Head Office and the legally required 14 days period has elapsed, you would be ready to sign your agreement and become a Supanews franchisee.

Step 10 – Training
Once your 7 day cooling off period has passed and the agreements are signed you will be booked into the training school that best suits your proposed handover date
